Dotted along the banks of the Lot River as its flows between the medieval town of Figeac in the east and Villeneuve sur Lot in the west, our Lot villas are full of character and comfortably-equipped for a self-catering holiday in France. The Lot River meanders through a gentle agricultural landscape of maize, strawberries and tomatoes, with fields bordered by poplars and walnut trees. Cahors is the main town with a wonderful market and fascinating medieval centre but there are plenty of delightful villages to explore along the river and its tributaries. To the west of Cahors is the wine growing region with Puy L’Eveque at its heart.
