Guide to Mijas

At a glance

Mijas is a beautiful village nestling in the mountainside above Fuengirola and Mijas Costa, which spectacular views of the sea. Wandering around the narrow cobbled streets will make you understand why so many writers and artists have made this pretty Andalucian village their home. White-washed houses with red tile roofs hug the hillside and are lavishly decorated with colourful geraniums.

Mijas Pueblo has managed to retain a traditional way of life, and locals display a passion for all things festive whilst taking the relaxed attitude that things can always be put off for another day. Tiny shops line the streets, brimming with local crafts including hand made pottery and prints by local artists, jewellery and leatherwork. The best way to explore the village is using the burros, or local donkey taxi service.

Since its discovery in the sixties, Mijas has become home to many different nationalities, and this is reflected in the international cuisine, cosmopolitan clubs and local associations. The benefits of the pleasant year-round climate are obvious without any of the busy commercialism of the coastal towns.

Our villas, townhouses and apartments are on the renowned Mijas Golf complex, just a short drive from the Mijas. All are well equipped and perfectly placed to make the most of all the activities the local area has to offer.
